Why Home Grown Is The Place To Be For Business Leaders
Home Grown is not your usual exclusive members’ club in London. We recognise the importance of creating a community for business leaders to thrive.
Here’s five reasons why Home Grown is the place to be:
Unrivalled access to business leaders
We have a vault of the brightest minds in business, our community is made up of up and coming entrepreneurs to affluent investors.
Priya Guha MBE, NED, Advisor & Venture Partner in technology and innovation
“I’d encourage female founders to leverage their network and nothing beats face-to- face events, and it’s great to see those happening at Home Grown”
Anthony Tasgal, Author/Speaker, Strategist and Director.
“We are all crying out for opportunities to bump into other people, to spark ideas off them that make us happier, more fulfilled and more imaginative: Home Grown is a forum for just this creative serendipity
Bobby Lane, CEO of Factotum
“My newest business was born on these very premises. We had our first team meeting in the salon and pitched our first three clients onsite.”
Omer Shaikh, Principal Partner, RF Capital Partners
“Home Grown has proved invaluable as a private home from home when coming down to London for key business meetings with us. The results speak for themselves and we have successfully completed over £75m of new investment for our clients in 2020, plus are on track to top £100m in early 2021.”
Paul Manivannan, Founder, R3People
“I love the vibe at Home Grown. Everyone’s so warm and gives off the impression that they genuinely care about the place. The standard of service is incredible. Events are great value, the speakers are great sources of valuable information. It’s a brilliant place and I look forward to spending more time here.”
While helping successful businesses is our primary focus, we recognise the importance of supporting bright minds in the early stages of creation as well.
In 2021, we held our Green Shoots Competition and one of our finalist, Fussy, received capital and resources to kick start their business. Last year, they appeared on Dragon’s Den for additional funding and received an offer from Deborah Meaden and Peter Jones for £50,000. Their Dragon’s Den party was held in Home Grown. Another one of our finalists, Medtech startup rareCan, an app with information and tools to help patients with rare cancer types manage their life, received invaluable resources from our entrepreneurs. rareCan has been selected for the highly competitive Startups 2023 awards and they are going through their third funding round.

Supper for Six
Supper for Six is one of the events synonymous with Home Grown. Members are allowed to invite an additional guest to a blind supper with other members. This results in a table of business leaders from different fields put together to network and get to know more about each other. This ingenious and delicious idea allows potential professional relationships and partnerships to form.
F*ck Up Club
Fuck-up Nights is an event series that shares stories of professional failure. Each month at Home Grown we get three to four people to get up in front of a room full of strangers to share their own professional fuckup. The stories of the business that crashes and burns, the partnership deal that goes sour, the product that has to be recalled, we tell them all.
According to the Ultra-High Net Worth individual (UHNWI) report, one of the top three focuses of high net worth individuals is property. At Home Grown, we recognise that, which is why we have a whole category focused on infrastructure. Often, we invite down researchers from top property estate companies i.e. Savills and property estate CEOs to share market projections and and trends for our members and guests to capitalise on.
Home Grown Investor Series
Our quarterly series focuses on a range of different financial and investment topics. The event provides ample opportunity to bring your questions to the table, and hear from esteemed speakers whilst bringing together the entrepreneurs and investors within the Home Grown Community. In the past we were joined by representatives of Octopus Ventures and Fourth Ventures.
