Home Grown, Marylebone
In a nutshell: You may have heard of elite members club Home House, but its sister venue is designed more for start-ups, entrepreneurs, founders and investors looking to scale up their business. This business club provides access to a network of investors and trusted industry experts, while its event series includes pitching events, workshops, dinners and debates. Much like Home House, interiors dazzle in rich tapestries, plush furnishings, original fireplaces and decorative wallpapers, with opportunities to work and dine in the various lounges. Take a full lunch hour at the excellent modern British restaurant, which serves locally sourced, fine dining-style food, or work while you type at the more casual, co-working-style Study Café.
Location: Home Grown is housed in a six-storey Georgian townhouse in Marylebone, a seven-minute walk from Marble Arch tube station.
Meeting rooms: The club has a flamboyant salon with capacity for 15 people, plus two boardrooms which double as ping pong arenas – ideal for teambuilding or friendly competition for up to 20 people. There are also three private dining spaces, catering for ten to 80 guests seated.
Perks: It’s dog-friendly, has an aptly named (and very well-stocked) Unicorn Bar which hosts socials and live music nights, plus 35 bedrooms (rates from £100 per night), with categories fittingly named ‘equity’, ‘angel’ and ‘venture’.
