Mike Butcher MBE has been named one of the most influential journalists in European technology by media outlets such as Wired magazine and The Daily Telegraph. He is a regular tech commentator on the BBC, Sky News, CNN, CNBC, and Aljazeera. He has advised the UK government on tech startup policy and was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours for services to the technology industry. He co-founded The Europas Awards for European startups, the non-profits TechVets and Techfugees, a judge on hit TV series “The Apprentice UK” and named one of the 100 Most Connected Men by GQ magazine.

Matthew founded and leads the Buzzacott Corporate Finance team of 18. The team is split into: M&A advisory whose main focus is advising on sell side transactions in the £10m to £100m range,
an award winning Transaction Services team who focus on financial diligence and buy side advisory for mid sized Corporates and Private Equity and a Valuations team specialising in share valuations for contentious, tax or transactional driven issues

Successful projects include advising on the recent disposals of Empasite, Yay, NKD, Leesman and IFF. Phoenix Capital’s MBO of Dufrain, Universally Speaking on it’s investment from Phoenix Capital and the sale of Guidesmiths to DCSL. On the buy side advising Thatcham on its acquisition of Gamston Airport, Darwin Alternatives on their acquisition of Memoria and Foxtons plc on multiple acquisitions.

Nataša Williams, Co-founder and CEO of Cadro

Nataša has three decades of experience in UK Financial Services. After beginning her career in accounting, she held numerous senior positions across the investment banking and wealth and investment management sectors, winning several awards and accolades on the way. Outside of Cadro Nataša sits on the Investment Committee of Magdalene College, Cambridge, and on the Advisory Board of Bookmark Reading Charity.

Dr Paul Mattick heads the Sales and Investor Relations team for the Mercia EIS Funds. He works directly with private clients and advisers to build the EIS fund raising capacity of Mercia. Paul oversees the administration and development of the EIS funds, and ensures that investors receive a high level of service, much of which is delivered through Mercia’s award-winning Investor Centre.

Paul has a variety of experience in early-stage businesses (including being a founder), and formerly worked at another leading EIS fund manager, where he built close relationships with top tier clients, and significantly grew both fund and single company assets under management. Paul has a PhD and Post-Doctorate from the University of Oxford and a 1st Class Bachelor of Science from the University of Leeds.
