With close to  40 years as an Entrepreneur, Investor and Fund Manager Stephen  is passionate about helping startups get off the starting blocks and founded the Startup Funding Club (SFC), now SFC Capital, in 2012 to achieve that. With nearly 200 investments in pre-seed and seed stage companies, SFC Capital has a large portfolio of exciting businesses which they are involved with and have partnered  with a number of  different companies, including  to help provide the investment that companies need including their Chinese partners and the British Business Bank.

A Founder Freeman of the Guild of Entrepreneurs and part of the initial  advisory panel for Home Grown prior to its opening Stephen is a regular  at  Home Grown and runs  our regular pitching event, The Crocodile Lair,  a series that started in 2012 from Home House and has  seen  past successes from Onfido, CircaGene, Alcocyte, Sixty, Spintex, Dragonfly and B2Space.
