Jenny Tooth OBE, since July 2012 has taken the role of CEO of the UK Business Angels Association, the trade body for angel and early stage investing, which superseded the British Business Angels Association. Jenny has over 20 years’ experience of supporting SMEs access to investment, both in the UK and internationally.

Jenny ran her own consultancy, including spending nine years based in Brussels, working closely with the EU. She has operated a wide range of investment readiness programmes, including projects supported by national and EU funding. She has also participated in a number of European and UK expert groups on access to finance.

In 2009 she co-founded Angel Capital Group  which focused on investment in small business innovation and growth , incorporating London Business  Angels one of the most established angel groups in the UK. Angel Ca;ital Group was  acquired by Newable Private Investment in 2016.  Jenny is an active angel Investor and has a long standing ambition to enable many more women entrepreneurs to access equity investment and encourage more women to become Business Angels. She sits on a number of government and private sector Boards, including the HM Treasury Rose Review Board for increasing women entrepreneurship, DCMS Advisory Board for Investment in Creative Scale Ups; member of the Government’s Innovation Expert Group and founding Board member of Business Angels Europe. Jenny was awarded an OBE in the Queens New Year Honours 2015 for services to angel investment in small businesses.

Jenny is an experienced speaker, both in the UK and internationally in the US, China and across Europe and has been part of the Home Grown advisory panel, assisting in shaping Home Grown into what  it is  today.
