The UK is facing a major shock to our energy supply chain with soaring costs putting significant strains on our communities, businesses and infrastructure. Yet as with so many crises, these incredible challenges also bring the opportunity to accelerate new ideas and innovations and bring about long term change.
UKBAA’s Future Forward webinar in partnership with Setsquared will focus on the vital role early-stage investors and entrepreneurs play in supporting the growth and scale of clean energy technologies. We will hear from key players in our investment community about what areas of energy innovation they have been backing, and we’ll hear from academic and industry experts on energy and climate change about new emerging research and technological developments where investors can make an impact.
During this event, we will consider how the UK can maintain its leadership as a hub for clean tech investment and what more is needed from the government, corporate and private investment to develop a long-term strategy to ensure a more energy secure economy and long-term sustainability. We will also explore the dimensions of the current energy crisis and identify the opportunities for investors to be part of the solution, as we continue to move toward UK Net-Zero goals.
