About Robert Swan, O.B.E.

Robert Swan is the first person to have walked to both the North and South Poles. He is a renowned polar explorer, environmental leader, and founder of the 2041 Foundation — a non-profit organisation dedicated to preserving Antarctica as a natural reserve, land for science and peace. His 900-mile expedition to the South Pole in 1986, followed by a second historic trek to the North Pole in 1989, marked two of the most challenging and unassisted polar journeys in history. These expeditions exposed Robert firsthand to the realities of climate change, sparking a lifelong mission to raise awareness and drive action. His advocacy has earned him the Polar Medal, an O.B.E. from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and global recognition from the United Nations, UNESCO, and the World Economic Forum. In 2023, Robert completed his 37-year goal of crossing the Antarctic landmass on foot.

This event is for business leaders, visionaries, and anyone who believes in the power of great storytelling and bold action.
